About Me
Originally from California, I moved to New York to pursue writing, where I attended Gotham Writing School. I have worked in journalism for five years covering everything under the sun: news and features, reviews and op-eds, interviews, red carpet events, film junkets, event hosting, and more. I'm a member of the New York Video Games Critics Circle, serving on their nomination committee as well as mentoring students about the games industry.
My love for video games, television, and film has given me a deep passion for writing about them and interviewing the talented people behind them. I've spoken to actors like George Clooney, Tom Cruise, and Colin Farrell, creatives like Adventure Time's Adam Muto and The Simpsons' James L. Brooks, and video game superstars like Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, voice actor Neil Newbon, composer Austin Wintory, and Dragon Age's David Gaider. I have a great passion for indie projects as well, often doing in-depth coverage on games like Blippo+ or Nubby's Number Factory. Though I specialize in cozy gaming, management sims, and deckbuilders, I pride myself in being able to cover anything — if the creator has passion about the project, undoubtedly so will I.
